Meet our friendly and experienced dental, hygiene and administrative teams at The Town House Dental Practices in Tunbridge Wells and Brighton & Hove. We are always happy to welcome new patients to our practice for general dentistry and a range of cosmetic treatments.
Peter graduated from Bristol University. Dr Peter Bell is our Principal Dentist at the Town House. Peter has a special interest in implants and cosmetic dentistry. Peter has a never-ending passion for his work and readily accepts referrals for implant procedures. He enjoys spending time building a trusting relationship with all his patients and providing treatments in a relaxed and pain-free way.
Dental education is something that is a major part of Peter’s professional career and he has dedicated thousands of hours to advanced training from the best dentist’s around the world. This has included carrying out a Master’s in Implantology. Further to this, Peter teaches and speaks internationally to other dentists on the topic of Implants.
Peter is married to his wife Caileigh and when he is not working they spend most of their time walking their dog Hector or braving the British weather and paddle boarding along the coast.
Paul qualified from Manchester in 1992 and has owned MDS Dental Care since 1996. He practises all aspects of general dentistry.
Ian qualified from Guys Hospital in 1976. Ian has a special interest in root canal after completing a Masters degree in endodontics at the University of Warwick. At The Town House, Ian’s special interest allows him to concentrate solely on root canal and accept referrals in Kent and Sussex. Ian uses a microscope to help him treat complex cases and he readily accepts referrals from other dentists.
In his spare time Ian is an avid runner, and painter and even dabbles in bricklaying. Ian has enjoyed providing his patients with a high standard of care in a relaxed and friendly manner for over 30 years and continues to enjoy his work.
Hannah qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1997 and has worked in several hospitals, the Special Care Dental Services and general practice. She has a wealth of experience in the NHS and Private sectors and has provided general dental care to children and adults in Brighton and Hove for over 32 years. She was also a member of the East Sussex Local Dental Committee for 9 years.
Hannah loves working in a peaceful and caring environment with a dedicated team. Her experience and conscientious approach make it possible to deliver high-quality, modern dentistry with respect and compassion, whilst focussing on patient-led provision.
Hannah gained a Masters in Medical Ethics and Law from Kings College London in 2011. Outside of work, Hannah loves being with her family (including dog) and friends. She is an avid traveller and stays active through regular running, kettlebell workouts and circuit training (as well as dog walking!)
Umar graduated from the University of Liverpool and completed his training year in the Midlands, before proceeding to work in general practice in London. Umar is passionate about education and enhancing his skills. He is currently undertaking a year-long postgraduate diploma in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry which enables him to stay up to date with the most recent advances in the field of Dentistry. He prides himself on his people skills and can diligently listen to a patient’s concerns, reassure anxious patients, and clearly outline treatment options in line with the patient’s best interests. Outside of work, he has several different hobbies including playing squash and badminton, keeping fit at the gym, exploring new countries, and socialising with friends and family.
Omar qualified as a Dental Surgeon from Newcastle University with Merit and completed his foundation training in Kent. He has since benefitted from several years of training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, working in hospitals across Kent and West Sussex as a Dental Core Trainee and subsequently as a Specialty Dentist.
He prides himself on collaborating with his patients to provide high-quality, contemporary general dentistry in an environment that is both comfortable and relaxing. He is dedicated to lifelong education with a particular interest in Endodontics, having recently completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in this field. Further to this, he will be starting the 4-year specialty training pathway in Endodontics this year at King’s College London.
Outside of work, he spends his time in the gym, following the ups and downs of Arsenal FC and trying to win the affection of his cat, Tilly.
Jessica graduated from Kings College London with honours and has recently joined the Town House team following working in general practice in London. Jessica believes in patient-centred care and takes pride in spending time with anxious patients to create a positive and relaxed dental environment to develop their confidence. Currently, she is further advancing her skills by pursuing a year-long postgraduate diploma in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry, reflecting her commitment to continuous development and her passion for enhancing patient’s smiles. Outside of dentistry, Jess is a keen runner, baker and cake decorator, and despite being a dentist appreciates that life needs a little bit of sweetness!
In 2022, he completed his Specialist training in Periodontology at the Royal London Dental Hospital in affiliation with Queen Mary, University of London, by earning a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry and passing with excellence, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh exams to become a Member in Periodontics.
His special interests include both non-surgical and surgical periodontology therapy – particularly regenerative and periodontal plastic surgery for the treatment of recession defects, crown lengthening, root coverage procedures, frenectomies, vestibuloplasty, and other areas of soft tissue management requiring aesthetic enhancements.
Dr. Taranbir Thind (Bob), provides expertise in Oral Surgery including complex dental extractions, such as wisdom teeth.
He devotes his time between clinical private practice and working in hospitals. Dr. Thind offers surgery under local anaesthetic or with sedation.
Iva is from the Czech Republic and she qualified as a dental hygienist/therapist from King’s College in 2014. Whilst studying at King’s College, she was awarded a prize for best student in clinical hygiene.
Iva is very well known for her caring manners, and professionalism and is very passionate about treating patients with periodontal disease with a very gentle approach to nervous patients. Iva is dedicated to educating her patients on the importance of oral hygiene with a big emphasis on prevention. With a constantly evolving dental profession, Iva keeps up to date with continued professional development.
Outside work Iva enjoys running, travelling and loves spending time with her family.
Brooke started her career in dentistry in 2016 as a dental nurse and achieved her goal of becoming a dental hygienist and therapist in 2021 after obtaining a first-class BSc from Cardiff University.
Brooke is passionate about working with patients to improve their oral health and provides hygienist appointments in a calm and relaxed environment. Having been a nervous patient herself, Brooke loves to build patients’ confidence in dental visits and will always go the extra mile.
Outside of the surgery, you will find her weightlifting and exploring new places to eat.
Meni joined The Town House in 2021 and is an experienced dental nurse. Outside of the practice she enjoys walking, music, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Cara joined the practice in July as a trainee dental nurse. She is also currently undertaking an access to higher education course in Biology and Physics alongside her dental nurse training with an ambition of becoming a dental therapist and dental hygienist.
Cara is a keen traveller and has lived in several countries including Japan, Australia and Canada.
Also a dental nurse, Joanne is our exceptional Practice Manager. She can be relied upon to have an answer to any question you may have
Libby has worked in customer service for 10 years and it has become a passion of hers. At The Town House, Libby is there to lend a helping hand and make the experience as easy as possible for our patients.
Outside of work, Libby enjoys spending time with her three children and walking her dogs.
Sarah joined us in March and has worked in Management for more than 15 years with a history of working in medical, wholesale and retail. Sarah is skilled in customer service and loves to ensure our patients at the Townhouse have the best possible patient experience. Outside work, she loves spending time at home with her family and their 2 dogs Alfie and; Sidney. Her hobbies are walking, keeping fit and; travelling, she loves visiting different countries, her favourite place is Spain where she visits family whenever she can.
Lilly started at The Town House Brighton as our receptionist, but soon found her passion for dentistry and is now training to become a dental nurse. Outside of the practice, Lilly enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling, and finding new places to eat!
