Sedation and Relaxation for Dental Treatment

Dental IV sedation is a safe and effective way to help you feel calm and deeply relaxed during dental treatment, particularly if you feel anxious or nervous about visiting the dentist. This is conscious sedation , meaning you will not be fully asleep but may feel drowsy and remember little or nothing about the procedure. Sedation works quickly and is carefully administered and monitored by a trained professional to ensure your comfort and safety at all times. Combined with local anaesthetic, it allows treatment to be carried out with minimal discomfort, helping you have a more positive and stress-free dental experience

£350.00 for the first hour
£150.00 for each additional 30 minutes

Dentist Sedation Options

We offer two options for sedation and relaxation for dental treatment:

Conscious or IV Sedation Dentistry

IV sedation is a very effective and safe way of treating those with moderate to severe anxiety and even phobia. This technique involves the use of a small cannula (needle) placed in the back of the hand or the arm through which a sedative is administered prior to treatment.

As a patient you are awake for the entire procedure but will experience an extremely relaxed state, to the point of drowsiness. IV sedation is not intended to put you to sleep or make you unconscious like a general anesthetic, you simply feel very relaxed and oblivious to your surroundings.
